Elderly Brazilian Man Beaten to Death With Wooden Beam
An elderly man identified as João M.d.S., 68 years old, was found dead on a public street in the city centre, in Barreiros, Pernambuco state, in the early hours of this Thursday (5). According to witnesses, the victim was at home drinking alcohol when an unknown man arrived and started drinking with him. After an argument, the victim ran out of the house and was beaten to death by the suspect. The victim had injuries to the head that were caused by several blows with a wooden beam, which was found next to the body. The killer - 55-year-old Antônio d.B.P. - was almost lynched by locals. He confessed to the police and was charged with homicide. |
