The reality is no one cared enough to help another person in need. It’s actually legal in the DC area to intervene and use deadly force during a crime if you believe the other party is in DANGER. Maybe not shot, but someone could have definitely knocked these simians back to the projects.

Evetytime there's an incident that involves a Black person, there will be at least two racist "jokes" suggesting they're monkeys, ghetto welfare scum or shit for brains. Bystanders should've been checking on him but unfortunately most people aren't trained in the appropriate first aid for this situation and others are scared to help for fear of getting sued. There's no excuse for just leaving the guy there though. Kneel beside him, do a contactless assessment of ABC's, reassure him you're there to help and the ambulance is on the way, treat him for shock, get his name and do your best to keep him calm and alert.
