This is by far a case of excessive force. The original shots fired that put him down were justified because he was behaving in a threatening way, and he had ample warning- but the shots on the ground were "overkill" (excuse the pun lol). Even if he was reaching towards his waistband, he is so injured they could've reacted quicker than him, which means they could've fired upon first sight of a weapon before he would've been able to even point it in their direction. But the shotgun was the cherry on top of the incident- that much fire power into an already mortally wounded teen  +  .

I am usually pretty hard on cops for shooting without just cause. In this case, completely justified. But why are the white people not rioting, looting and burning down their neighborhoods? |

He obviously wanted to die. suicide by cop 100% reaching and not following orders I would have shot him as well. And people saying how could they shoot him that close and not taze. Because of the knife rule look it up. Takes a blink of an eye to pull a knife and get to the officers within 30feet. you can not approach an officer who has weopons drawn on you and not expect to get put down,  |

I agree, cops in america are trigger happy. Let's be honest here, a LOT of people in America are trigger happy. I'll stay comfy and alive where it's cold, I don't have to pay for my health care and I'm certainly not afraid of being shot - even by police. I don't think someone has ever actually been shot to death by police in my town. Despite being so close to your country I could throw a rock into it, I feel much safer at a (slight) distance. Get your shit together America, your guns are a fucking problem and you don't want to admit it. But hey, keep killin each other, the rest of the world don't mind a few less Americans and we always need new content on DR.  |

I like a cop who is a man of his word. That dude wanted to die very badly. That was very clear. Sad, very sad. I would just listen to the officers, however, I do not to be shot with buck shot from 12 Gauge shotgun.
