Re: Dying Guy with a Headshot Rubs and Taps His Head and Chest
This video is so disturbing. And the comments are very interesting. I note that many people describe this poor fellows actions due to "brain damage from the bullet" or some such. Yet, his behaviour prior to that bullet(being a criminal I guess?) a good few would describe as "freely willed" and thus in some way "deserving" of that bullet. The funny thing is, he no more controls the bullet in his head than he does the neurons that fired and the chemicals that interacted to cause his behaviours that got him into that trouble in the first place. To think that some things(our wills) are free from physical causes but others(freaky behaviour after being shot in the head) are not is very contradictory. |

Re: Dying Guy with a Headshot Rubs and Taps His Head and Chest
I think he was in pain. I believe the rubbing and tapping was more of a conscious effect based on the very coordinated and controlled movements he was doing, even his face says pain he is clearly very conscious. Its possible to lose a lot of brain matter and still be conscious. This behavior he is doing is called competitive inhibition, like when peter from family guy fell and hit his knee. It's a way of distracting the mind, in his case whats left of it, from pain with adding another stimuli. Like when you stub your toe and go hopping across the room holding your foot.
