they might have survived that; looked like they were ejected over the concrete barrier and into the construction pit. i think the driver of the cart-thing probably took the worst of it all.

It certainly looks like the one riding pillion went flying off, though I'm pretty sure that the rider would have been crushed between the broken barrier + the dump truck. It looks like the 2 at the front of the cart were driven over, so probably didn't survive either.
