You're numbers are bollocks... Annual Statistics for 2013 - 2023:Only 4% of violence in UK is firearms (because you can't have them, duh!). While 47% is sharp instruments and 22% are bludgeoned. The remaining 27% is miscellaneous (i.e. cars, strangulation, poison, etc.). Even with the millions of firearms in the USA, we have a lower murder rate than the UK per capita. Hmm, wonder why? In the previous reporting year, the homicide rate among UK jurisdictions was highest in Northern Ireland, at 12.6 homicides per million people Based on historical and sociological research, this presentation examines why the United States is the most homicidal nation in the world. At a homicide rate of approximately 5 per 100,000 population the United States by far has the highest homicide rate among affluent nations. They are measuring 1 out of a million, ours are measured one out of 100,000. Still think the guns are working out great? I'm not even anti-second amendment but c'mon, knife crime is high in the UK for sure but you don't hear about school/mass stabbers, do you? By the time they were able to kill 2 people, an AK would have the majority of one classroom wiped out and ready to go on to the next. Have you just accepted that a mass shooting is an average Tuesday now? We just need common sense laws not a ban & if you are a responsible gun owner it wouldn't affect you so I never understand why there is such strong opposition |
