This guy didn't make it. Royal Carribean has the largest cruise ships in the whole world, with Oasis of the Seas(the largest) reaching heights as 72 meters above water. Helluva drop...

That 72 meters is I'm sure to the top of the mast/stacks. When I was deployed on ship, I remember a story where one Marine was walking down a ladder well that was exterior of an LHD ship. He slipped and fell overboard into the water at night. No one ever found him. Half the time, the deck watches are fucking off. They had NVGs but trying to find someone at night in the ocean with swells.....forget it. Unless they have a water activated strobe or a laser. |

Yes, I know it is the maximum height to the mast, but falling even at half of that height can kill a man with ease. Unless he was a completely sober professional diver...  |
