Re: Drunk Man Fell Off Cruise Ship
I've come alongside those things manymany times.. The lifeboats are some 15 - 30 metres above the waterline depending what size of cruiseliner it is.. To give a little daylight impression, the biggest barge is 135 by 15 meter.. seen from the main deck |

Re: Drunk Man Fell Off Cruise Ship
Lol....seen this one on the news the other day.....apparently the guy that jump really lost his grip at the end......he got into a fight with his gay lover, then jumped to lower deck.....then he tried to hold on but lost his grip....oh well.

Re: Drunk Man Fell Off Cruise Ship
a ship that size cruising over 20 knots ln open waters added to the time the message gets to the bridge goes through the chain of command the ship is miles away then you have to launch life rafts that aren't rescue craft, the helio was the better option. You are absolutely wrong if you thing a schedule is more valuable than a life. I have taken over 12 cruises one particular they turn back toward a helio to meet it to save time for a heart attack victim on broad, and many other similar acts like that. you go over board, frankly your fucked, even in warm water hypothermia will get you 20 mins
