Re: Drunk Driver Beaten After Causing a Deadly Accident
You start the post with this: And end with this: "So, hey... is this your foot by any chance? Found it over there by the bus. *points* No clue how it got there though. *scans the crowd* You should be more careful with your belongings though *begins to lightheartedly chuckle and tosses the bloody appendage back to its owner* with all these people around, that thing could grow legs! ...why are you looking at me like that? I didn’t mean to hit your face." You don't need a fuckin medical degree to figure out if someone is drunk or not. |

Re: Drunk Driver Beaten After Causing a Deadly Accident
I disagree, I had a patient come into my ER from a MVC, police all pissed off saying hes a drunken asshole, alcohol level 0, turns out he had a stroke, which caused the crash, hes stroke signs appeared as a drunken stupor. Again, I respectfully disagree. And actually, from being EMS and now I doctor, I can tell you Ive been part of these "I think hes drunk" conversations at least 10 times, and most ended in nopes. |

Re: Drunk Driver Beaten After Causing a Deadly Accident
Dude, come on... there's no zebra here. That's not even the issue. But at least 10 times? If you're going to just make shit up, at least go higher so it's more believable. How many times have you seen someone appear that drunk (who actually was drunk) and NOT reek of alcohol? You're saying no one there is even capable of coming to that conclusion after observing his behavior and learning the facts (like the vehicle he hit was parked)? You have to go to med school in order to learn what alcohol smells like? Rediculous. -------- For those of you who dont actually work in the medical field like User_unknown: If you hear hoofbeats coming from behind you, you're likely going to assume it's a horse, not a zebra, and you'd probably be right because horses are more common than zebras. In this situation, OP is saying even if they were standing in some horse stable in Texas, the crowd would struggle to identify the sound of hoofbeats, and even though it's clear they're not being asked while in a zoo, or in Africa, we need to strongly consider the possibility the sound is from a zebra. |
