Nah, you can clearly see he got spooked by that car backing onto the road. He probably checked ahead and saw that the road was clear - then took a look at his phone or something, then as he looked back at the road, a car had appeared. He made an evasive manoeuvre but it got out of control. Its an easy mistake to do. If you overcorrect when trying to straighten out again, you start to oscillate and once that happens, you are done.

Sad to see this. I am not surprised. I have travel this road so many times from Las Terrenas to Cabarete and Sosua. One of the major reason I do not spend time there anymore. Gringos beware when you're traveling visiting the DR. It is not safe. However, more and more American investors are opening a big ass new hotel in Las Terrenas. Truly, I hope they do not. The only thing big hotel do, is to bring more of the worst element to the country.
