On 21st May 2019 in Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic) a helicopter crash left 3 dead. The private helicopter had departed from the Joaquín Balaguer-El Higüero Airport in Santo Domingo Norte. 15 miles into the flight it caught fire + crashed. The pilot of the helicopter was Major J.S.M.C. of the National Army. He was transferred to the Ramón de Lara Hospital of the Dominican Republic Air Force with severe burns. 'J' died the next morning. His passengers, J.H.M.C. (president of Grupo Medrano) + M.V., died at the scene.                  Funeral of J.H.M.C.

Bell 206 helicopter i read. The same type that crashed into the Hudson last week. It's always the burning part being the worst for the family members  |
