The two arrested women gave a confessional statement in the court under section 164 in the case of killing Jasim Uddin Masum (62), a dye trader of Fatulla, Narayanganj, and cutting the body into seven pieces. On Friday (November 15) afternoon, they gave a statement in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Haider Ali of Narayanganj. These two women are Ruma Akhtar and her girlfriend Ruku Akhtar. Narayanganj Assistant Superintendent of Police (C Circle) Mehdi Hasan confirmed the matter. He said, 'In this incident, first Ruma and later her girlfriend Ruku were arrested by the police. They gave a confessional statement under section 164 in the court. After killing the businessman, Ruku helped her girlfriend to hide the body. The accused were remanded for 10 days in the court. |
