sadly, the amount of horrific abuse on small children and even babies that is overlooked is sad. so many are sent home from hospitals and not followed up by the DFS only to turn up again - dead. i know there are ones that are saved, and ones who don't get abused who are taken away after an accident and a false accusation. the system is broken.
people turn a blind eye...and they probably would with this too.
