It's not the job of officers to give people what they ask for. Their job is to serve and protect. In this case, the job was to serve justice, and that's what they did. He didn't submit to authority, and therefore had to be excommunilizied from society, i.e, shot.

I agree, so many times you don't know the situation at hand. I realize there were some parts to this about the officer that was not on scene about the dog. That being said there is where the investigation should be. Not where the police did not do their job. They did their job they saw a threat and handled it.
