The police statement that the cop shooting in the store saved the cops outside from the perp is hilarious. Its pretty close to murder and no one will care because the police can justify it that the perp had a knife and people are sick to death of paying the huge bills to support certain segments of society. Perp was trying to run out the doors and get away, even ran past the cop shooting at them as they ran out the door. Black person was too dumb to drop the knife and had probably successfully run away from cops many times and didn't think anything could happen to them.

In the state of Florida that's exactly what happens but it's an actual murder charge. You and your bro break into my home and I shoot your bro and he dies... In Arizona, if you commit a crime, and someone gets killed (Like a fellow robber, for instance) it's automatic felony murder. Even if the cops are the ones that shot them. It's all considered the criminal's fault because he committed the crime resulting in a killing. I think it's an excellent law.

Word. I had figured that Wichita just doesn't have laws like that on the books. I know that pretty much all jurisdictions charge all of those involved in a crime with murder and/or accessory charges if a victim is killed by any one of them, but I didn't know if that also applied to criminals being killed by officers or victims who were defending themselves.

Again, maybe Wichita doesn't have laws like that. I really can't see how any of these guys could have secured a plea deal. They couldn't have rolled on each other hard enough to pull that off, because it's not like the DA would have needed any of them to do so.
