This is what the president of the Philippines told the police force. Which i believe are all federal police, so he's their boss and their nation's leader.

Hes doing a little war in drugs, and he's given police near immunity to do it.

So that's likely the reason. He's probably not very smart. And believed he could get away with it. Also it's his neighbor who has been blowing some horn or instrument of some kind. So I'm guessing there's some history.

And I don't think cops in the US want to shoot people. At least a super majority don't.

Police kill on average 1000 people a year. Which means you have a much much greater chance of winning a lottery jackpot. than being killed by a police officer.

And out of that 1000 most reasonable people would agree 90% are clearly justified. And another 90% of that 90% are justified, but have something questionable attached.

Which leaves like 10 cases where police killed someone without cause. And most of time in those 10 cases the victim instigated the confrontation.

Story have it that those people live in the same compound for years (policeman bought a piece of land inside a compound of mostly related people_he was considered an outsider of the clan compound). and whenever the policeman came home from assignments, he bullies most of his neighbors, creates trouble for everyone, flaunts his authority. Policeman got records of many kinds and a few murders prior to that. That argument is just one of the many that happened before. and it was the lying child that tailored lies and provoked his father more. I was with two of their army neighbors yesterday as we were in the same plane going to davao city. Policeman was planning to kill another guy who was in constant argument with him but luckily the guy was out on an errand (Buying booze)when it happened.

The president limits that to heinous criminals and drug cases. Fact is some policemen believe Prez might dig up the long buried death penalty just for that policeman. If he does, no human rights warriors can stop him.

On the contrary... she was always the one starting arguments and dragging his father to defend her whenever her father is around. she acts high and mighty around their poor neighbors at that age.
