btw.. it is more likely you will be jailed for beating a burglar or intruder then that the burglar will be punished. The burglar will be protected and the person who defended whatever he wanted to defend is the 'bad guy'. There are so much examples of this that it sickens me.

edit: and people are afraid because of the media over here. There are a few examples of 'useless violence' where a group of guys take it out on another person for nothing... It's plain pathetic.
Anyway, this is the most action you will ever see from a crowd over here. Normally people just walk by or call the police and then watch from the corner because we are all afraid for what the government and mass-media tells us: "Call the police, do nothing." (and plenty examples of hero-like behaviour gone wrong as in murder or even the hero being punsihed by the justice system..)

You're not completely right though. Actually they are making a ton of commercials about how we should get the fuck involved and stop public violence. It's true heroism can end badly here though.. Since anyone who does damage to another human will get in trouble, even when trying to help someone. It's ridiculous.
