Be great if heavy goods vehicles had their own road like underground and out the way so us wee little car drivers had less hazards to worry about? They scare me them big dozy things, you don't know what idiot is behind the wheel, we have enough of them crazies claiming the tarmac mainly as reckless pocket rocketeers breaking speed records never mind allowing one drive a mega weight and questionable load with mobile phone TV kettle and toaster in the cab as distractions ready to plough your ass and crumple you into a metal sandwich. I'm more aware after seeing many bizarre tragic incidents on these sites. Aroused? Sure.

No bopping, though, unless you have a good way to isolate the sound, or edit out the two guys in the foreground.

Worth pointing out that it doesn’t change how I feel about the accident, just like having your neighbor naked at the door and her house on fire is different from her being there to have some fun. Context matters, and empathy may well be the primary substrate of sadism in non-sociopaths. From my experience, there is a night and day difference between hearing your lady scream during a session you’re in control of, and hearing the exact same screams in a hospital for reasons beyond your control or hers. Doesn’t mean arousal can’t happen, being involuntary, but that won’t turn the tragedy into a good time.

Might be interesting to know how other sadists feel about it, in some other thread.

Any particular reason you mentioned it?

The lynching in Guatemala was worse and longer, in my opinion, even without the lead up to the burning. I’ve only seen/heard worse once, to the best of my admittedly addled recollection.

On the bright side, I think screaming accelerates lung damage and monoxide uptake in fires, hopefully leading to earlier loss of consciousness. Fingers crossed for that.

31 years ago in college I was bored while studying Physical Chemistry in the school library, I picked up a book randomly with a paragraph written by the Marquis de Sade. In the story, the narrator has his lady friend in crime hide a large gunpowder bomb in the house of some friendly peasants who he pretends to befriend. He goes outside the house, bomb ignites house and he sexually relishes hearing the death screams as the simple trusting folks burn alive.

Sounded like hysterical French bullshit at the time, but 31 years of additional experience has taught me the veneer of civilized society is quite thin. Just several hundred years ago, crowds were routinely burning enemies and others at the stake, or slowly cooking peoples legs over fires until they couldn't walk again and/or were driven mad.

Gasoline is dangerous stuff. People have been burned alive refilling a hot lawnmower, maybe before the improved gas cans / nozzels were mandatory. Fatal charcoal lighter container explosions were not uncommon at barbecues back in the day, when people sprayed fluid on a fire and the flame traveled back into the can.
