Couple on Bicycle Shot Dead by Motorcycle-Riding Hitmen
A couple was shot dead in Belém, Pará state, Brazil, on Wednesday night (8). The victims were identified as Mayck A.d.S., 29, and Winndy K.d.S.S., 40. According to witnesses, the victims were near a town square when two men on a motorcycle approached and shot the couple, leaving them with no chance to defend themselves. After the crime, a Military Police vehicle that was nearby chased the criminals, who shot at the vehicle and managed to escape. No officers were injured during the chase. According to family members, Mayck has a criminal record for involvement in the world of crime and had recently been the victim of an attack, but managed to escape. The suspicion is that the man was executed to settle a score, while the woman, who had no criminal record, may have been killed because she was with him. |

great post. seems like the cops gave up pretty easily, but i guess it would be tough to chase a speeding motorcycle in a damn station wagon. |

I've seen a view vids on here recently where the cops have been nearby when the crime is committed. Speaks to how brazen and common these shootings are down there.

yeah, and according to the article the assassins shot back and got lost. it didn't mention a shootout or big police chase, so to me it sounds like the cops probably let them disappear around a corner rather easily after being shot at a bit. i could be wrong.
