Re: Corvette Z06 Show Off Pays the Price.
Slicks are made of a way softer rubber, and also the cords are typically ran different inside. Running a bald street tire is not better than a treaded street tire by any means lol on a drag strip, they put down solution on the line to get a good sticky grip for launch. They also have the burnout pit, and that is to warm up your rubber real nice to help keep your slick ass tires from spinning on launch. Them drag cars burning the shit out if the tires just before they hit the line is not just to show off. If you have a corvette. Your tires are made and rated for what you could expect to get out of that vehicle. You can't just go to most any tire shop and get some corvette tires. They are like 20 inches wide and always made to perform. Typically you order them and wait for them. I'm gonna say that vehicle had a underlying issue, which caused a hard torque steer. And that guy didn't know what he had sitting under him.

Re: Corvette Z06 Show Off Pays the Price.
who mentioned drag strip???? lol lol lol for the last time - the tyres on the piece of crap did not cause the accident; the tyres were mentioned in the very first post in a way that suggested they were the fault . . . they were not |
