Corpses Found After Clashes Between Farc Dissident Groups
Colombia. Clashes between the “Carolina Ramírez” and “Comandos de Frontera” fronts have generated displacement of the community. Therefore, concern in the community is imminent, since they have not been able to leave the site. The authorities stated that the two criminal groups were in line with the 2016 peace agreements, but they deceived the Colombian people on two occasions, which is why they are now disputing the control of drug trafficking and illegal mining in this area. In this way, the farmers of this rural area are afraid for their lives, since they are threatened even in their own homes. There is even the fear that a stray bullet will enter through one of the windows of their homes, which is why they ask the National Government for adequate attention to this chaotic situation. A resident of the rural area stated: “We are already here at home. My God, that down there made us more nervous to walk. Everything there is horrible. After we saw those dead , about five or six dead people lying on the road at the entrance to the town, about five men and a girl. “A horrible situation”.   |
