Re: Computer Engineering Student Scott "Scout" Schultz Shot by Cop on Campus

The reason these situations get debated is because of how THE REST OF THE WORLD handles these types of situations. Most cops in civilized countries make every effort to save someone's life. ESPECIALLY if it is someone that is having mental issues. But good Ol' Merica doesn't make any effort to disarm people. They just shoot them. It's understandable. America doesn't train their officers at all. American police are completely incompetent rednecks that have no physical capablilities whatsoever and have NO ability to disarm or persuade a perp in any way. American police really do have no option but to murder distressed citizens whether they have a weapon....or are unarmed. That's what AMERICA LOVES. Enjoy your ruined cuntry.
Thought you had left us. Dang. Wrong.
You keep popping up every now and again to enlighten us with utter bs and biased leftie/anarchist views on how the worlds nations should govern themselves. And you say every cop in the world makes efforts for something like this doesn't happen there. Right. Are you referring to Mexico? Venezuela? The Middle East and countless other nations ? Here in Europe where cops are forced to shot your heroic freedom fighters/Islamic terrorists that attacks and kills women, children and old people. Right.

Crawl back under your rock Martano. And enjoy your loneliness.

I can understand why the officers shot him/her what I don't understand is why tasers can't be used in place of guns.... A taser would have the same result minus the death.

Re: Computer Engineering Student Scott "Scout" Schultz Shot by Cop on Campus

A knife is just as deadly as a gun in close range combat. They gave that kid every chance to live, but once you cross that line, the knife becomes a deadly weapon and you leave the officer no choice but to fire.

There's also no such thing as "half-shots". When you're in danger you need to stop that person NOW, not 10 seconds later when the adrenaline and drugs run out and blood loss starts kicking in, but you've already been stabbed 5 times.

It's sad that the people crying on social media have never even given a thought about those 2 facts their entire lives.
Maybe a butcher knife is just as dangerous up close and personal but your average knife has no where near the killing power of your average pistol(9mm/38spl/45acp). Good luck reaching vital organs with that edc folder/boot/neck knife.

Re: Computer Engineering Student Scott "Scout" Schultz Shot by Cop on Campus

He was very intelligent from what I've heard. He called the cops on a person who looked like himself. He said that he thought the guy might have a gun in his belt. I wonder how many suicides have tried this method of reporting their own description to 911.
I don't know if this is a wind up... dam good way of insuring the cops turn up without the tazer, and fingers on the trigger

He's serious. By having a cop already on edge because of a possible gunman you increase the likelihood of getting shot in split second reaction.

Although I imagine using an airsoft gun and just waving it like a loon would probably work just as well.

Re: Computer Engineering Student Scott "Scout" Schultz Shot by Cop on Campus

Well, personally, I would have tried a taser first, and if that didn't work, then, and only then, I would have capped his ass. But it seems like a fairly clear case of suicide by cop. Next?

Lots of bootlickers here. Key words. Protect and Serve. He obviously needed protection from himself. Fuck the police
