The zebra-stripe crosswalks are at the intersection about 50 yards in the background. The link captures the approximate viewing angle and focal length of the third photo (where the car came to rest).

There is actually a video of the driver getting beat up afterwards by the crowd, but I can only find watermarked versions.  |
