Watching it again, I didn't see a magazine in his weapon or in the ground. What a moron. Maybe he hit the mag release while running up there? Maybe he never had a mag to begin with? Whatever it was that cop failed. Bad cop no donut.

It appeared to me that he was simply untrained and unfamiliar with the rifle. That can show up in a Stress situation. On a target range, I was...sometimes...'Hell On Wheels' with an AR. But an actual combat situation is something else.  |
