Re: Chinese Wok at a Whole New Level...

Nature at it's lowest. The one creature even saw it happen and just crawled away. Even my dog would take action to save another animal
I'm kind of torn here. As a ESH Manager, you actually train employees to not put themselves at risk - even for the sake of another employee. You're not a trained emergency responder (or in most cases even equipped to go into a dangerous situation at work).

How would he know whether it would flare up again?

Re: Chinese Wok at a Whole New Level...

My guess is acetylene tank explosion. If you look at the exterior of the tank, right about where the guy who got really cooked should be standing, there is a flash of weld coming through. Suddenly, ka-THUMP, the tank blows and the guy doing the welding took a bath in it. Sound about right?
Maybe, but doesn't seem violent enough for that imo. Seems more like there was some sort of hazardous mixture/residue remaining in the tank that flashed when he started to weld?

Re: Chinese Wok at a Whole New Level...

Looks like he just struck an arc with a welder when it all went up. Some sort of oil or other flammable residue in there

I heard that it was peanut oil. Okay, I didn't hear that but I'm hoping to start that rumor here with the hope that that it'll go viral until CNN or some other prestigious online news agency has the headline, "Man Accidentally Stir-fries Himself To Death Inside Giant Wok In Hellish Peanut Oil Explosion! [Click on Video - Warning: Graphic!]"
