Re: China - Police Shot the Kidnapper

If the bullet hit his spine then dropping like that is believable
Actually dropping like that is proof that it wasn't a spine hit, the legs would become noodles instantaneously preventing the guy from being able to lurch his legs forward as shown in the video.

Re: China - Police Shot the Kidnapper

I have a few reasons to believe this is a Chinese government propaganda video, sure this trick has been used before but after having so much media exposure I doubt it will work a second time around, but well, Chinese are famous for doing sloppy things, here are some points that make me doubt this one is real:

1. Why on earth would a hostage taker ask for water in a situation like this one in particular, he is out in the open and surrounded by a swat team, the last thing he should do is distract himself by doing something else.

2.- The gun fires but there's no visible recoil, I would expect some recoil even if it was a .22, the nurse has a semi auto in her hands which at least should be 9 mm or even a .40 cal for police duty both of them most certainly will show considerable recoil when fired.

3. She's content with firing just once, in a real situation like this she would be doing at least a double tap but more likely would actually fire more that three rounds into him. Why she doesn't do that you may ask? Here's where I assume two things, first one is that it is a fake scenario and two if this is done for propaganda purposes firing more than once after the perp is down will certainly look a little bad for the police department public relations.

4.- The way the guy goes down is not consistent with a disabling or fatal shot as he shows muscular tone in both legs, it can be clearly seen how he is able to give a step forward after being hit which is impossible if it was a disabling shot.

5. It is fake because I say so.

Re: China - Police Shot the Kidnapper

That was amazing. I mean, rarely is real life anything like the movies but this was pretty damn close.

Re: China - Police Shot the Kidnapper

I think I saw that same undercover police officer do the exact same thing in another video posted here 3 or 4 years ago, though here she was a little sluggish but still managed to get the job done You know, sometimes I'm ashamed of modern chinese culture judging by what we usually see from videos posted here...other times, I'm kind of proud of them

Re: China - Police Shot the Kidnapper

Seems like a demonstration, there are camera flashes everywhere and a camera guy rushes to capture pics right after.
