You should be more careful to talk like that about the chilean police, best police in Latin America. I agree that shoots could be risky for civilians and justice is investigating the legality of police action. Generalizations about Latin America just show your ignorance. |

Wow. Was executing someone necessary? For a stolen car? People condone this. Being executed for a stolen car. I will never condone robbery, I would never commit such a crime, but FFS, if my vehicle was stolen, I'd want the person who did it to be taken to court, sentenced, not executed. Well if some piece of shit steals a car and runs over an innocent person while fleeing from the Police instead of just taking the charge, I hope that person is you and not one of my family members... On another note, this cop is one hell of a shot! To have that kind of adrenaline pump going and to hit a guy in the head while on the move AND the target is moving is some serious skill! They didn't just shoot the guy for stealing a car, they stopped him at gun point and ordered him out, he refused and after injuring (running over) one of the cops he got a big slice of "you had that coming BITCH" pie. Run me over with a car and see if I don't pop a cap in your ass to... If the Police feel that themselves or a member of the public's life is in danger they are permitted to use deadly force. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes... |

No, not for a stolen car: the criminal ran over a cop on a stolen car. It's attempted murder of a cop and not even Jesus Christ in person could save your ass if you do that in any western Europe country (for example, let alone the US ffs!) and this happened in Chile. However, as Martano666 pointed out, this could have easily cost some innocent person his/her life. It wasn't the best thing to do, to open fire that way, but it worked darn well and nobody but the bastard died. I would call it happy end. |
