Re: Chile Police - Motorcycle Turned Foot Pursuit Ends in Blood Squirting Headshot
He lived. The police began the pursuit when the car (a Hyundai Tucson) turned out to have been stolen: two cops tried to stop the car and one of them was run over and the criminal fled the scene, but he got caught and shot in the head: he was in serious but not life-threatening condition. The injured officer was taken to the police hospital and eventually fully recovered. I've uploaded the video for you, great first post, thanks! |

Re: Chile Police - Motorcycle Turned Foot Pursuit Ends in Blood Squirting Headshot
Apparently, while the man was being carried to the hospital, a cop sent a "Monte 6" code to Central de Comunicaciones de Carabineros de Chile (CENCO), which would indicate the death of the man. However, in a press conference held right after the incident, the General od Carabineros (Hugo Insunza) pointed out that he was alive and hospitalized at Barros Luco hospital. Now i've found another article according to which the man (a 16 y.o.) finally died some time after at the hospital. So, it's safe to say that he died, one way or the other! |

Re: Chile Police - Motorcycle Turned Foot Pursuit Ends in Blood Squirting Headshot
Seems awfully risky. Firing at a guy in a car that is surrounded by civilians could have easily cost an innocent person their life. Looks like it turned out ok in this case but it still seems highly irresponsible to take a risk like that.
