Chief Engineer Hanged Himself Inside His Bedroom in Docked Ship
W.P. (33), the head of the engine room on the Pioneer Ship KM. Sabuk Nusantara 105 was found dead hanging himself on the ship which was docked at the Bitung Port Complex, yesterday. The captain of the KM Sabuk Nusantara 105, Yanus T. N, explained that the victim was last active around 9:00 a.m. WITA (Central Indonesian Time). However, Yanus said he contacted W. around 10:00 a.m. WITA, but he received no response. I contacted the victim to prepare to fill up with fuel for our planned departure to Tifure, but there was no response," said Yanus. His suspicions arose because he did not respond to calls, then another crew member checked the victim's room through the window. The victim's bedroom window was tightly shut. I immediately ordered the door to be broken open and saw the victim hanging. Meanwhile, the victim's fiancée, Sity S, revealed that they had an argument over the phone around 8:00 a.m. WITA (Central Indonesian Time). Sity tried to call him again, but there was no response. I was very shocked when I heard the news that he had died by hanging himself," said Sity. According to police there were no signs of violence on the victim's body. Currently, his body is being prepared to be transported to Jakarta and handed over to his family. |

My goals when recording potential content: record in the landscape orientation, keep the subject in-frame, refrain from making comments, follow the action and do not chant "WoRlDsTaR!" like a fucking moron. I think that if I keep to those goals I can capture footage I'd be proud to put on the air. |
