Police Officer Enrique Martinez was shot and killed while making a traffic stop at the 8000 block of South Ingleside Avenue at 8:00 p.m. When Officer Martinez and another officer approached the stopped vehicle, they were met with rapid gunfire by an occupant in the vehicle. Officer Martinez was struck multiple times. One officer returned fire. The driver fled on foot after striking another officer with his car. Officer Martinez was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he succumbed to his wounds. The other officer is in fair condition. The driver was apprehended after a short pursuit. A second person in the vehicle was shot and killed during the shootout. He was found with a firearm. A third person in the back of the vehicle was arrested at the scene. One of the suspects had removed an ankle monitor. Police Officer Martinez had served with the Chicago Police Department for almost three years. |

Another example of the same ol' demographic doing the same ol' shit. The good thing is that one of the thugs was killed by friendly fire, and the driver and shooter were both apprehended.

He killed his passenger up front so the shooting was in the car from right to left... car lurches forward a bit and he ran... I know it's dark but that's only video until I can get the bodycam later (fingers crossed)
