Charred Body Found in the Backseat of a Gol, That Was Set Ablaze
Jan 11. Homicide Police of Feira de Santana began investigating the case of a homicide registered on Jan 10 in the Lagoa Salgada neighborhood. The victim was found charred in the backseat of a Gol vehicle, which was also set ablaze. According to police, relatives living in Feira de Santana, reported that the victim resided in Salvador and that his name is W.A.R.J, 24 years old. Next to the car was a burned license plate with Salvador signature and numbers of a black CG / Titan 150 motorcycle, licensed from Bom Jesus da Penha (MG), which probably got loose from the vehicle during the fire. Police told that the victim was with I. R. d. S., who was beaten and hospitalized at General Hospital. I.R.d.S, who also lives in Salvador, talked to police officers and reported that he and the victim came to Feira de Santana last night to bring a woman. He said they were returning to the capital and stopped at a gas station to refuel the car. Then they would have called a man named 'Junior Head' saying they did not have the money to pay the toll. Then they returned to Feira de Santana and headed for Junior's house. There, the victim was shot while I.R.d.S. was beaten and fainted. The car was taken to the Lagoa Salgada neighborhood, where it was burned down. According to police, the victim was arrested in February 2017 for drug trafficking in Feira. Police are investigating to find out what motivated the murder. As the body was charred, the remains will only be released after DNA examination, even the victim's family and his friend identified him. |
