If there is a heaven, I hope this young man went straight there upon his death, because he surely suffered hell on earth at the hands of these barbarians.

Re: CARTELIFICATION, cutting a guy's heart out
If this is a cartel killing (which it is) then these guys were involved with the cartels, as cops here usually are. Obviously, crossfire sucks because innocent people get killed then, but cartels don't go out of their way to murder people who are not in the drug business. |

Re: CARTELIFICATION, cutting a guy's heart out
There's a translation comment in the No Mercy In Mexico thread in which the user refers to the older victim as a cop, but no one in the video as translated actually calls him one. Only source for that claim was a post from a different website. Breitbart wrote an article about the video too, and they don't make any mention of either of the victims being cops. It's possible that these were both just regular citizens. And either way, the cartels kill citizens for passing info to their rivals all the time. That makes me wonder just how much of a choice such citizens actually have when it comes to informing. If the cartelios know that a citizen has information, even money says they'll force 'em to give it up under threat of torture/death. Don't sing, and you'll die. Sing, and you'll still die when the rival cartel gets its hands on you. I really can't see why it would be any other way given the profound lack of conscience that the cartelios have. We like to tell ourselves that it's easy to avoid such a horrible fate by just staying out of the game, but everything I know about human nature and the nature of monstrous humans says that simply isn't the case. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me. |

Re: CARTELIFICATION, cutting a guy's heart out
It’s the same shit some women say when they hear about other women being raped. Well if she hadn’t done this or that; they want to believe you break ‘the rules’ you get punished. God forbid innocent people like yourself would fall victim to the evils of the world. Half the time down there, the worst thing a victim did was being related to the actual target(s). Whether by blood or just general association(friends, neighbors, etc). |

Re: CARTELIFICATION, cutting a guy's heart out
No offense but Breitbart is not exactly a reliable source. That being said, that last paragraph you wrote is spot on. So very true. I'm Mexican, living in Mexico City. I have friends and family who often visit Acapulco (in Guerrero). I have friends who live in the northern states. The reality here is very different than what they say in the US news. Even cartels donated supplies to help the people here in the city after the earthquake last September. Now, I'm not saying they are good, this video proves just how vicious they are, but it's not as black and white as it seems on the outside. Again, that being said, I agree with you about the monstrous human nature and how nobody is safe from it. I don't like humans, so perhaps that's why I'm looking at this entire subject with a bit less sympathy than others do.

Re: CARTELIFICATION, cutting a guy's heart out
There's a big difference between getting raped for dressing or acting a certain way and getting killed by a cartel because you were involved with them. I'm just a bit sick of foreigners believing they know what things are like HERE.
