Car Wreck, Fire, Asian SuperHero and Flip Flops
I can't save the video to post with this device but worth sharing if someone can save video and post. I thought there was a cameo appearance by some kind of Asian Storm Trooper by it turns out it was just some guy who takes bicycling way too seriously. For once I actually admire the bystanders actually trying to help save the trapped driver burning in the car. And no video like this goes without seeing many, many pairs of flip flops. Very inspiring to see this. People can be pretty good to each other sometimes. Also a pretty good reminder that I need to start keeping a crowbar and a fire extinguisher in my vehicle. Here in America, DOT and the NHTSA require all big rigs (like the one that passes by at around 4:35 in this clip) and commercial box trucks to have fire extinguishers. The trucks at my last driving job had them, and the company had a rule that drivers were allowed to delay their route if they saw ever a vehicle fire on the road and stopped to help. |
