Re: Car Wreck Carnage in Jacksonville, FL
People here do that with a lot of videos.... "They should've done this or that." Yet most if not all of the people saying what should've been done would be doing the same standing around waiting. I'm guilty of it myself. I like to think I'd have stopped bleeding or comforted someone who was dying, but I can not possibly know because I have not been in these situations. It's easy to criticize others for their actions or lack thereof. It's far more difficult to actually take action. |

Re: Car Wreck Carnage in Jacksonville, FL
I've had my wife with me on one occasion where I pulled a guy and his friend out of their car they rolled off an embankment. Had to be doing at least 70mph both driver and passenger had a broken femur plus multiple abrasions one also had a pretty badly broken nose blood all over us both by the time the meat wagon got there. Then about a month later taking my kids to my inlaws a woman over shot an intersection and straight into a canal. She was knocked cold so I told my kids to sit tight and dove in to get her out. It was fucking December too, froze my nuts off. Got her out and she didn't regain consciousnes until two days later but otherwise was fine. Something about her meds made her all loopy lost her depth perception and in the drink she went. Never heard from the first two but she actually tracked me down and thanked me. I've only had basic CPR class never was a paramedic or EMT I just hate it when people stand around and don't do shit. I've had quite a few accidents where I was the first one on scene. Probably due to working nights and a 45 mile commute to work. |

Standing over her like that? Nah that's fucked. Everyone with their God damn phones out, no compassion. It's disgusting but I suppose it benefits us, I just hope I never find myself in this situation.

Re: Car Wreck Carnage in Jacksonville, FL
I think it's more the fact that the 17-year old has some very gruesome injuries. I can't really tell from that video angle the extent of her injuries, but you can see one Black guy walk by after taking a look at her and swearing, so obviously it's pretty gnarly.

Re: Car Wreck Carnage in Jacksonville, FL
I don't care what people say. There is a huge difference between black people being present in these events vs white people. White people at least render aid and comfort victims no matter the lack of their medical knowledge. Black people just look at them and avoid them as if they are a turd and if the victim is lucky, there will be a black lady calling for help while being over dramatic. Nevertheless black people witnessing it be more traumatized than the people who experienced the accident. I say this as a black man and everytime I see videos like this, it further proves my point. If I'm every mangled up clinging to life, I hope that I'll be surrounded by white people because black people are overly dramatic and of no help when it comes to offering aid or comforting words.

Re: Car Wreck Carnage in Jacksonville, FL
I think she was the one calling 911. But yes I agree she didn't need to be straddling her like that but what can you do? At this point nothing. Everyone reacts different |
