Car Driver Backs Up, Fatally Running Over a Woman
A 54-year-old woman died after being run over by an official vehicle of the City Hall of Engenheiro Coelho (SP) on Wednesday (25). According to the Municipal Guard, the driver of the car was a trainee from the administration, who had a license to drive. The driver stopped the car and started to make a reverse maneuver, when he felt the impact and braked, according to his testimony. Also according to the PM bulletin, the driver saw that the victim was under the car and pedestrians who were there helped him to remove her. According to the municipal government, the woman is N.d.S.B.d.S.  "As soon as he became aware of the accident, the executive deployed a team to monitor and provide all assistance to those involved in this fatality and all support will be given to the family at this very difficult time", says the official note from the city hall. The city hall also says it will open an administrative procedure to determine the responsibilities and define the administrative measures to be adopted. A wrongful death report, when there is no intention, was registered with the Civil Police to investigate the causes of the accident. Another report of death notification was also registered by the victim's husband, a 56-year-old bricklayer, who reported that she was taken to Santa Casa de Limeira, but did not resist. The Municipality of Engenheiro Coelho decreed official mourning for three days. Mayor Dr. Zeedivaldo (PSB) lamented what happened on his social networks.
