That got the adrenaline going. Maybe he could've gotten away if he hadn't stopped at the end...I think that slip on the wet pavement or whatever stunned him a little and threw off his running game. Too bad for him. It looked to me like he warned a girl in the store to run away - final good deed?
Um Yeah. So no. He was about to use that girl as a shield! Even though it wouldnt work and would just mean having about a nanosecond of life still left for him. Glad she ripped herself out of his hold. He might have gotten her killed!

He should have booked it without stopping and grabbing the girl.

Was he already shot before he was finally caught up to and killed?
