~ From the video, the driver didn't even slow down once the driver reached the bikers, but did accelerate once the vehicle started hitting them.
~ I would say the driver was distracted, by texting or calling on phone, then once the driver realized the bikers got hit, panicked, as both catching the phone & foot to brake signals got mixed up.
~ The fact is the car was new & he probably didn't know to fully drive it yet, especially because the driver's foot got stuck between the brake & accelerator pedal.
