I guess there's that point to consider. Personally, when im in the road driving, i make it a point to slow down and check brakes when i see people ahead in the sidewalks that might be considering crossing, be it on the pedxing lines or not. hitting one that came out of a building directly beside the road is one thing that we cant avoid. but in this case, the kid can be seen beside the road ahead. so some investigator might not consider that as "what can i do? she run in front of my bus." situation.

kids are kids and when left alone, no matter how much training you give them, will once in a while let go of restrictions and give in to irrational actions. too bad it has to end in disaster.

green cross code !! we used to have it drilled into us repeatedly by Jimmy Saville !............. Maybe I should re-word that, it was taught to us endlessly in school , and the adverts on tv were all done by Jimmy Saville, that's better ..... sad though, was the bus driver speeding ? I reckon she slid about 25 feet because the camera made it look further than it actually was, I also think the bus was travelling slower than the camera depicted it to be, did she die ?
