Re: Bus Cam - Little Girl Hit While Running Across the Street
I watched a documentary a few weeks back saying how a child's brain hasn't fully developed certain parts that allow for accurate judging of speed and distance. This is why lots of kids think cars and buses are further away, and traveling slower. In tests the kids thought the cars were going much slower and much further away, whereas the adults judged it far more accurately. Still, it amazes me that we put buses, lorries, cars, motorbikes, bicycles, and pedestrians all within a few feet of each other, passing in opposite directions. The failure of our civilization to see these dangerous inefficiencies is pretty scary. Still, money talks and having a single road structure is very cost effective...and gives us interesting videos like this. |

Re: Bus Cam - Little Girl Hit While Running Across the Street
I saw a girl get hit when I was 13 and it 'looked' way worse; She literally flew more than twice as far as this girl, got up, and cried "I Want My MOMMY!!!" and ran home! Me and my friend were the oldest witnesses, so we had to explain what happened to her mom....The kicker was as soon as she got up, her little friend said "See What You Get for Not Looking Both Ways, Ruth???".....ahhh, the precociousness of little girls!!! |
