Re: Burned Skeletons in Paradise, CA Fire
Such a tragedy. These people live in CA. They know how bad wildfires get. I don't understand the ignorance of people getting an evacuation order. When they tell you to go, you go. |

I see the same things with Hurricanes Warnings are given to have a weeks supply of food & water on hand or evacuate, people don't and suffer or die |

Re: Burned Skeletons in Paradise, CA Fire
A lot of California looks third world. I knew a VERY pretty Czech lady who lived in Los Angeles for a few years, couldn't wait to return to Prague. I asked her what she didn't like about Kalifornia, she said "its really Mexican..."

Re: Burned Skeletons in Paradise, CA Fire
That is so fucking horrible The pain and fear they must've felt.RIP to those who died. Alot of us can't even imagine going through something like this and maybe never have. But this is reality. They probably thought the same thing at one time... And now all this... I think part of California should just be deemed uninhabitable. The fires just keep happening and seem to get worse as the years go by...My heart goes out to all affected and your all in my prayers... |

Re: Burned Skeletons in Paradise, CA Fire
Yeah... You're assuming she understood the danger they were in. More likely it was that she didn't understand how fucking fast the fire was moving and since she didn't see any fire yet she thought they were relatively safe. Ya know - how MOST people end up dying in forest fires.
