At least he was polite and telling people to stand back I guess ..what I don't understand, why off yourself in this crowd of people? Why not just off yourself at home and not traumatize those who witnessed this firsthand? Everyone on this site knows, yes..death is intriguing. This video is one of the most replayed amd viewed live suicides in history. But it's a totally different feeling and scenario been inches to feet away from someone sticking a gun in their mouth and pulling the trigger I just feel for the people that witnessed this firsthand, but all in all..thank you Budd for a classic |

I first saw this video on Traces of Death, circa 1994. Gave me nightmares. The most amazing thing about it to me now is that Budd was 47 years old there. He looks at least 67.

Sad thing is years after his suicide he was proven innocent. He was just too proud to go to prison for a crime he didint commit. |

This was done on live television with kids watching because they were home early from school. We knew how to entertain in the 80s.  |

Yes he wasn't actually guilty of anything poor man  he did what he did so his wife and kids wouldn't miss out on any money owed before he lost his position..he was driven to extremes

Wouldn't say proud I'd say he knew he was innocent so was he fuck going to serve potentially 50 odd years for something he didn't do? Gotta say if I was in that position would I shit be spending the rest of my life in prison..I just haven't got the balls to off myself on TV....well  I might make an exception if I knew it would entertain my fellow D.R members |
