I didn't say it was made by H&K. I said it was based off the HK417. I've held both weapons in my hands within the month. The UK trials of the weapon should also be public knowledge by now if you care to look. The upper receiver, rails, barrel and muzzle break are all based on the 417. The only thing that stands out is the direct impingement gas system. Since the 417 is loosely based on the AR10, you could claim that, but I won't. LMT just did the modifying of the weapon to the UK specs. Like how the USMC armorers modify off the existing Remington 700 actions and characteristics for their snipers and DMs.
