A 16-year-old girl was apprehended on Tuesday (22), identified as a co-author of a juvenile offense equivalent to the crime of homicide, which claimed the life of her own mother.

According to information from the Civil Police, Yane S.M., 44 years old, was shot and killed on the 21st in the home where she lived.

Police stated that during her testimony, the teenager, Maria F.M., confessed to taking part in the crime and also revealed that she is a member of a criminal group operating in Porto Seguro.

According to the Civil Police, Maria said her mother was killed due to debts related to drug trafficking and because the victim resisted her daughter’s involvement in the criminal scheme. The mother had threatened to report the gang members.

Maria is currently in the custody of the Juvenile Court. The Civil Police are also searching for three men suspected of being involved in the crime.
