A corporal in the Alagoas Military Police shot dead a colleague, shot his ex-wife, and then took his own life on Friday (5).

According to the police, the corporal, identified as Moisés, was being prosecuted for domestic violence and learned that a judge was going to order him to withdraw his weapon. The soldier then sent a message to a friend saying he was going to kill his ex-wife, and the friend asked two police colleagues to go and talk to him to convince him not to follow through.

One of the officers, Private Eudson, was trying to stop the corporal from entering his ex-wife's house when he was shot dead. Afterwards, he stormed his ex's house, shot her, and then took his own life. The woman was taken to hospital in an undisclosed condition.
