A 43-year-old architect, Jefferson D.A., died after being hit with three shots on Tuesday afternoon (1).

According to the Military Police, two individuals on a motorcycle were carrying out robberies in the region - they had robbed a woman of her wedding ring and a cell phone. Upon seeing the scene, Jefferson drove his pick-up truck and struck one of the robbers.

However, the robber got up, and as Jefferson got out of his vehicle, the robber shot him three times in the neck. Jefferson was taken to hospital, but ultimately did not survive his injuries.

The robber and his accomplice fled the scene. It is not known for sure if Jefferson intended to run down the robber, or if he had tried to flee the scene out of panic and him running over the robber was unintentional.
