In fact most people don't know how to apply tourniquets correctly. Most people do know that a tourniquet is an effective way to stop bleeding but they either apply it wrong or in a situation that doesn't merit it and can cause more damage. This situation absolutely merited a tourniquet it's too bad nobody even bother to try

Negative, for a few reasons. The artery itself is only a few inches long and when severed, will retract into the tissue. Since it provides ALL of the blood to that lower extremity, you realistically have about a minute to get it completely stopped. To stop it, you'd need clamping forceps on the artery itself.

Should’ve let him keep fighting. He would’ve been dead before he even realized what happened. Would have dropped mid punch. I think only adrenaline was keeping him upright.

Do you not know where the finish line is at the Boston Marathon? We have some of the best medical hospitals in the country. All within minutes of the finish line. Not to mention there was already a medical area set up at the finish line to provide aid to the runners. So there were a lot of professionals on scene immediately. I grew up with the brothers who both lost a leg. So stop the “false flag” bs, which is what you were alluding to.

Holy fuck. I did NOT expect him to last as long as he did. He had the other dude on the ground and was beating him when he should have already been close to unconsciousness.

I'm also amazed at just how TINY a jab the guy gave him. Managed to get him right in the perfect spot.
