you can see that guy wanted to go to help her. he hesitated and that's when he took off.

in those situations it's fight or flight- you can't judge someone for ensuring they survive. none of us know what we would do unless in that situation which hopefully none of those are.

It's easy for any of us to sit back and watch these videos and say, "If I was there I would've <insert something heroic>," and maybe that guy who walked away has said something similar in the past. Until you're in that situation you just don't know what you'd do, and even if you do find yourself in that kind of situation, you might spend valuable seconds deciding what to do or how to get yourself to do anything besides standing frozen nearby, watching in horror. Regardless of how sure you think you know exactly what you'd do, you just do not know because it's impossible to know.
