On the afternoon of 12th December 2020 in Jardim Ouro Verde (Brazil), 24 year old B.G.D.S. was murdered. 'B' had been walking outside with her 4 year old son when her estranged husband, 26 year old L.A.D.A.L., pulled up next to them in his car. 'L' got out + lunged at 'B' with a knife. He stabbed her several times, she collapsed + died at the scene. 'L' fled in his car, leaving the little boy with his mother's body. The next day, 'L' was found, along with the knife + arrested. He confessed to stabbing 'B', a telemarketing operator, to death. He stated that the couple had split up 8 months ago + their son was living with 'B'. He cited anger as his motivation for the murder. 2 days before the murder, 'B' + 'L' had been arguing about 'L's lack of child support. 'B' told him that she wouldn't let him collect their son until he made a payment. Over text message, 'L' told 'B' "ok, I will pay you to see the kid". She responded "it is not paying me, it is fulfilling a father's obligation".
