On the morning of 13th February 2020 in the Compensa 2 neighbourhood (Brazil), 31 year old W.V.B. was murdered.

'W' had gone out to buy bread for his mother + on his way home, he started walking down an alley. Ahead of him, were several members of CV, spray painting the walls of members of rival gang FDN. The gang members spotted 'W' + opened fire at him. They shot him 22 times + he died at the scene.

'W's mother, 55 year old F.D.C., stated that her son had been staying with her for a few days. She went on to state that he was a bricklayer + had been a drug user since he was 12 years old, though he was not a gang member. As she cried, Francisca said “I, as a mother, did everything I could. I warned him, my son beware of these people. We mothers do the impossible for our children, but they choose the wrong path and the answer is this.”
