Brazil – A criminal police officer was murdered with his own weapon on Saturday night (2) in Nova Cruz, in the state of Agreste. According to the Military Police, the suspect, who fled with the victim's motorcycle, has already been found.

The victim was identified as J.S.d.Q., a criminal police officer with 12 years of experience. He lived and worked in Nova Cruz.

The killer was identified by security camera footage that recorded the crime and located this Sunday (3), in the community of Barro Preto, in the rural area of the municipality. A.A.d.S. was taken to the Civil Police Station, where he was booked in the act.

Victim and criminal were in the same bar in the municipality, where the crime took place. Security camera footage shows the moment when the killer approaches the policeman, takes his weapon and shoots.

After hitting the policeman, the criminal leaves the crime scene and returns, hitting the victim with knife blows. Identified as J.S.d.Q., the policeman died at the scene. The killer then fled with the victim's gun and motorcycle.

In a note, the Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration (Seap), offered solidarity to the family members of the criminal police officer in Rio Grande do Norte. “The loss of a police officer does not affect only the institution, but the whole of society”, highlighted the secretary.
